How To Keep Kids Off Drugs
I told him that when my kid turns seven years old, I'm going to take him to the jail in my hometown and let him get inside a cell and I'm going to shut the door and just let him sit there for awhile.
When he realizes this is not what he wants I'll let him get out and I will say to him, "IF you stay away from drugs, away from guns, away from violence and away from gangs you will never see the inside of a jail cell again." I want him to fell the cold, damp lonely feeling of sitting in a jail cell first hand. I want him to know this is what he will get if he doesn't do right. In other words, I want to scare my child straight.
I want to take him to the bad part of town (in a police car, of course) and let him see first hand how people who do drugs live. I want him to know if he does drugs he will live like that too. I'm going to keep up with my child when he enters school. I going to make sure I know Where he goes after school, what he does and who he hangs out with.
If I get him a computer which I'm sure I will, I won't let him keep it in his room. I'll put it out in the open where I can keep an eye on what he's doing on it.
Please remember, the computer, although a great learning tool is also an enemy to your child. Every pervert in the world is online trying to find your child.
Every hate group in the world has a website that's attractive to your child and they will probably find it even iof they're not looking for it.
Your child can accidentally download porno while trying to find something else.
They can download viloent video games. The can find drugs, guns and anything else on the internet. Keep in touch with your children for the first eighteen years of their lives. That's the best advice I can give.

UNDERSTANDING - Students working together for a common cause learn to get along with others, and to understand others, which will enable them to make adjustments for the good of the team, business, or community.
We must be able to understand what motivates certain individuals, what creates a better working environment, what is the basis of individual or team success.
4. EMOTIONAL CONTROL - Letting one's emotions dictate what actions or responses will be is usually not good. We all must learn to control our emotions. It will be beneficial if an athlete has the necessary control of emotions to channel them into the successful completion of the team's goal.

PERSEVERANCE - Students involved in the many athletic activities learn to "stay-with-it" until the job is completed.

Teens, Jobs, and The Economy
More young teens than ever might be looking for jobs this summer as money is tight in many families.
Many teens start looking for jobs when they get around the age of 15 or 16 as they enter high school and need money for dating and cars.
This year though, many 13 and 14 year olds might be interested in finding some job or way to make money. How old does a child have to be to get a real job? The US government has a set of laws that lays the groundwork for what kind of jobs teens can get and at what age they can get those jobs.
For instance, any job that is considered dangerous or hazardous cannot be performed by anyone younger than 16 years old.
Jobs involving heavy machinery and chemicals would fall into this category. Once you are 16 or older, you might be allowed to do some of those jobs or all of them.
Additionally, each state has its own set of rules that need to be followed concerning child employment.
Teens that set out to find their first job are often scared and rightly so.
It is uncharted territory for them and in many cases it will be their first foray out into the real world. This year might be an especially bad time to be looking for that first job as the economy is horrendous and they might face an unusually high amount of rejection. It is a bad situation for both employers and job seekers.
Very young teens will probably not qualify for many real jobs and most of them will probably be snapped up very quickly. This year, older teens and even adults may be happy to get any job they can and will take jobs that they might ordinarily have turned down in other years.
